Expand is the world’s premiere, emerging technology conference. When Engadet’s managing editor, Darren Murph, reached out for help I was excited to join the team. December saw the delivery of the logo and foundation for the brand system. In March the following year, the final brand identity system was unveiled. The inaugural Expand conference took place at the Fort Mason Pavilion in San Francisco, CA.
We structured Expand’s brand system to take advantage of color for wayfinding purposes. Applications were developed for bus wraps, digital backdrops, hanging signs and banners. These graphics helped Engadget’s visitors navigate the 50,000 square foot venue.
The Expand conference has continued to grow and gain momentum in the years since its inception. In the years following the launch, Expand has called New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Seattle and Austin home.
